It seem like every time I look there is another home brew book available explaining how to brew beer. Many of these books are simply a re-hash of the many brewing styles and methods that home brewers can use to create our favorite alcoholic beverages. Granted it’s hard to really find new content to write a home brew book about and keep it fresh when the basic process for brewing has remained the same for centuries.

BrewDemon Big Demon Conical Fermenter – First Impressions

The first thing you notice about the new fermenter is that it looks an awful lot like it’s little brother the Little Demon fermenter. The shape, clean lines and 3 legged stand were obviously made to mimic the smaller 3 gallon fermenter.

What started out as an experiment with a 3 quart pot, a can of extract and a little brown keg has evolved today into something I wasn’t even able to imagine back then. The home brew community played a major role in my progression from ‘newbie’ to a brewer having some serious skills.

There seems to be a lot of questions and hopefully I will be able to answer most of them here! Does Size Really Matter? One of the first thing I noticed about this thing was it’s size! It really seemed to be quite a bit larger then the Mr. Beer LBK, and there is a […]

After many months of delays for a variety of reasons BrewDemon finally launched it’s product line on December 11th and started accepting orders! This is a bigger deal then you might think since they are basically re-introducing the beloved malts that were abandoned by Mr. Beer when Australia based Coopers bought out the company. The BrewDemon Malts are produced by Maltexo in New Zealand and are for the most part the same as what was once offered by Mr. Beer. There are however a few changes that make these products unique to The Demon Brewing Company. The obvious change of […]
