Virgin yeast

Post by Beer-lord »

Though I had some washed 001 in the fridge, it was getting a bit old and I wanted some fresh so I got some very fresh from my LHBS. As I only need 1 liter starter, I made 2 liters, then cold crashed it and pout 500 ml each into 2 jars (using the 1 liter in my beer this weekend).
My question is if the amount I have in these jars is enough to use without a starter for beers up to 1.060 or if I should make a starter? I know, I know, it's likely best to make a starter but if I'm short on time and need it, I am not sure if this is enough. I have some boiled and chilled water I plan to use and decant the wort off so I can likely keep it a bit longer and fresher.
What say ye all?
