How much have you brewed in 2021?

Since nobody started this topic yet for this year, and I made beer here it is:

Thread guidance: create one (and only one) post and continuously edit it throughout the year, adding your ongoing brewing adventures. Generally people add the date, style of beer, size of batch, and any other stats or info you would like to keep, along with a running total at the end of the thread. That's about it...

:muahaha:

* Jan 5 - "10th Anniversary" Rye Pale Ale (all-grain) - 3 gallons
* Mar 10 - Schwarzbier lager (extract/steep) - 3 gallons [Batch #108]
* May 9 - Hard Lemonade - 2 gallons
* May 23 - New England Double IPA - 3 gallons
* Sep 26 - Janet's Brown Ale (RIP Tasty) - 3 gallons [Batch #111]
* Dec 1 - American IPA - 3 gallons [Batch #112]

RUNNING TOTAL - 17 gallons
DONE FOR THE YEAR 2021

I do both extract and all-grain batches. Usually I brew customized 3-gallon recipes, as I have a 3-gallon fermenter and 3-gallon keg. About 8 batches per year. Occasional 1-gallon stovetop experimental batches, for recipes that I don't want to have drink several gallons of.

SWMBO gave me a Mr. Beer Kit for Christmas 2010. January 5, 2011 was my first brew day -- this year I brewed a 10th anniversary batch on that same date.

Previous totals:
2021- 17 gallons
2020 - 10 gallons (I moved mid-year and had to suspend brewing activities for a while, hence the low output)
2019 - 22.5 gallons
2018 - 24 gallons
2017 - 25 gallons
2016 - 33 gallons
2015 - 36 gallons
2014 - 40 gallons
2013 - 40 gallons
2012 - 34 gallons
2011 - 19.5 gallons (start of hobby)

I finally get to jump in on this. Last year I brewed 130 gallons (which is actually a butt!). This year I probably won't brew as much, since I am seriously cutting back on my consumption of all foodstuffs in an effort to lose weight. So less drinking beer means less need to brew beer. But I will be brewing, and I whipped up a batch today, so it's time to start the tally.

1/10/21 - Pearly Pils - 3 gallons
1/17/21 - Phat Tyre - 5 gallons
1/24/21 - Bull Terrier Bitter - 3 gallons
2/14/21 - 2Daves Irish Red Ale - 5 gallons
2/21/21 - 100 Years War IPA - 3 gallons
2/28/21 - Porter - 3 gallons
3/7/21 - Ottertoberfest - 5 gallons
3/21/21 - South Ferry Steam Beer - 5 gallons
4/4/21 - PacTiki Pale Ale - 3 gallons
4/18/21 - Natural 20 Pale Ale - 5 gallons
4/25/21 - Great Scott 60/- - 3 gallons
5/2/21 - FedoraDave's American Ale - 5 gallons
6/13/21 - Fedorus Magnus Kölsch - 3 gallons
6/20/21 - 100 Years War IPA - 5 gallons
6/27/21 - Saison d'Etre - 3 gallons
7/4/21 - Old Smokey Amber Ale - 5 gallons
7/11/21 - Rocking Chair Orange Wheat - 3 gallons
7/18/21 - 9/Fifteen Pale Ale - 5 gallons
8/1/21 - King Duncan's Holiday Porter - 3 gallons
8/22/21 - Bull Terrier Bitter - 3 gallons
8/29/21 - South Ferry Steam Beer - 5 gallons
9/12/21 - Littlejohn's Ale - 3 gallons
10/3/21 - Groomsman's Pride - 3 gallons
10/17/21 - Rye-Guy IPA - 5 gallons
10/31/21 - Great Scott 60/- - 3 gallons
11/13/21 - FedoraDave's American Ale - 5 gallons
11/21/21 - Black Hops - 3 gallons
12/5/21 - Phat Tyre - 5 gallons

Took the summer off from brewing ... too much travelling. But, somethime in Oct will be my 400th batch, most of them 5 gals, and an assortment of MrB batches in the early days ('10).

So, it's been an adventure. I used to brew a lot, now it's only a couple times a month. I got lazy when I retired, LOL. Plus there's a crazy amount of craft breweries on Long Island. I don't know how these folks make enough money to stay in business. They all seem to get along, though, aren't trying to screw each other for market share ... they even sample competitor's beers in their places ...

I saw the 2022 thread had started, and it reminded me that I hadn't updated my 2021 entry (see above) in over 9 months.
Only brewed 6 batches in 2021. Between the pandemic and relocating away from many of my beer-drinking buddies in 2020, I now drink a larger percentage of my output, hence the need to brew less often.
That's okay, I still enjoy it -- both the process, and the output. :D
Here's hoping 2022 is a successful brew year for us all. :clink:
