Wife got me a pellet smoker/grill for Christmas, it is a low end unit and not pid controller, but neither is my M&B and I got that thing figured out fine. I put it together today and fired it up to season. I think I am going to like it on certain things.

Congrats on the new pellet smoker. I got one back in May and absolutely love it. I've made some amazing meals on it including a prime rib roast for Christmas. If you don't have one already I would suggest getting a WiFi or bluetooth thermometer. It really makes it much easier to monitor for temps and times.

That meat looks incredibly good. Yes I have a six channel blue tooth that I use on my other cookers. Already had to mod. it because no hole for the wires to go to threw to main unit and don't like going in the door. I got it up to over 450 today while trying out and seasoning and only 32 deg here today. I am hoping maybe Sat. I will do a simple cook on it. I think I am going to like it.

I just got a Rec Tec Bull (it's huge) a few months ago and I love it! I've been smoking my arse off. It's great for meats of course but if you like seafood, salmon is wonderful. And don't get me started on smoked shrimp and oyster.
Had a Traeger which I enjoyed and it smoked well but it wore out and the temp spikes were too much.
Enjoy yours!

Looks like you broke it in well! I'm hungry too!
