Flow Control multiple taps

Post by Hayzer »

What do you do for flow control on multiple taps? Can we use ball valves on a manifold? Is a flow control tap necessary? How about something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftWG3c9DNWs?

I am wondering if I even need to worry about the flow of two different kegs on one gas cylinder.

I don’t think you need to worry much about it. I have one tank with a dual regulator. Then each regulator is split for two lines. So, I have the capability to run 4 kegs of of one tank. I’ve never had any reason to run a flow control with it.

So a splitter without ball valves will be fine? It's not like I'm pouring vastly different brews.

I have 3 faucets out of four that are flow control. They work but don't know if really needed. Was going to put 4 individual regulators on my system but ran low on money when building it and don't see that real beneficial now either, just have single regulator and a 4 valve manifold. Shortly I will try to bottle out of the keg and maybe know more on the subject after.
