For the 2 people who may care, here's another update. It's 1 week today and the airlock is still showing a little activity but that my be Hop Creep from the Hop Hash I added this week. It's still going downward and I've got it to 58 for a semi D-rest. However, I noticed the attenuation was listed incorrectly in Beersmith which had this yeast at 68% attenuation when Bootleg says it's 88-93%! So, I guess I may be looking for 1.008 or so. I know this stuff likes to eat but using it a number of times has never gotten me to 88%. Plus, I'm not interested in opening the fermenter to check with a refractometer as it's only a week in. Here's the final info on the Tilt. I brewed a lager 2 weeks ago today and kegged it today (yep, that Bootleg yeast kills it) and the final reading was dead on with the hydrometer. I guess what I've read about it not being so accurate at the early stages of fermentation is correct, at least for this beer. What I don't know for sure is if the readings take into account the temperature but I think it does.
Here's the final readings on this beer.

I would have to imagine it takes into consideration temperature since it measures it and it's a little bitty computer. It would seem dumb for it not to...

No I don't think so. So if I am reading all this correct, was off by a few points on OG, but if I had one would still use a hydro for that reading anyways. Then during fermentation it dropped accordingly, once hit bottom FG it was right on and the temp. reading was accurate and you could track it the whole time. is that correct? You still have my interest on one. On another forum I go to someone asked about them and a lot of replies and all positive and a lot of them have more then one.....One would be enough for the way I brew if I decide to get one.....TY for the updates.

You have it all correct! I've read this version (latest) is much better on batteries and when it's not floating or moving, the batteries aren't used but they did send an extra battery.
I'll probably be brewing in another week or two and give this another run to see if anything changes.

I would think the tilt is a better option then this if want to go that route. https://plaato.io/

Tilt would be better for me for sure, since I don't use airlocks in my fermenters.

That looks kind of cool, I'm gonna do some more reading on this one.

I got tons of emails from them for this kickstarter and opted out. Then I completely forgot about it when I ordered the Tilt. It's price almost exactly the same.

The reviews are much like the Tilt too. Some say it's great, some say it sucks, some say it's just OK. You never know what to believe.

I agree :) I bought the first Mash&Boil, now there are a few here. I bought the Ss brewbucket from the recommendations here and is one of the best brew purchases I made.

Just another update on the Tilt----Sunday's brew was 1.063 as confirmed by both a refractometer and hydrometer and the Tilt had it a 1.057. I've mentioned that I've read it's not been so accurate with OG readings and it's likely not accurate during heavy fermentation.
This morning, not even 2 full days later, it's showing 1.009. I've not wanted to check with a hydrometer because I don't care but I find it odd that Chico yeast would eat that much, that fast. There's still lots of airlock activity and the off gas in the keezer so I know it's far from done especially at 66 degrees.
I don't think this was my best geek/nerd purchase!
