This delicious Irish red reminds me a lot of the flavor of the house blonde ale I brew. As you can see, the color was a wonderful coppery red. Though there wasn't a lot of carbonation and a thin head, the aroma was mostly sweet malty with floral notes. The caramelly, honey flavor is what reminded me of my blonde ale, but there was a richer mouthfeel than the blonde. The finish is slightly citrusy at the back, not a lot of bitterness. My kind of beer, for sure!

This paired well with the burgers I grilled up for dinner. Those of you in Michigan probably know about Olga's Kitchen, and their Olga burgers. My wife was feeling homesick and took it upon herself to replicate their pita bread so we can have copycat Olga burgers, and they were delicious. And she also made some snackers from Olga's with the same cheese spread, and those were awesome.
