Biere De Framboise - Keep it in the keg?
So I brewed Mr. Beer Biere de Fromboise recipe on Friday 8/16. Its just the summer seasonal plus a can of raspberries in syrup.
I did a hydrometer test today and she nicely came right down to 1.000, leaving me at 7.75%. I started her off in the basement at 72 and brought her upstairs after a few days and left the lbk covered in a room at 80. And BTW the sample tasted pretty dang good - very light but noticeable raspberry flavor, I think this'll be a good one when finished!
My question is if she's down to 1.000, is there any reason to leave her sitting in the keg for the next few days to finish out the 3 weeks or can I go ahead and bottle her if I get a chance?

1.000? Can you double check that reading when you get a chance?

@GWCR: Considering that it uses Bella Saison and it's got a bunch of sugar in it, 1.000 is not out of the question. None of mine have ended up quite that low, most that I've used a bit of sugar in have been 1.003/1.002ish.

My bad. Wasn't familiar with that recipe at all. Didn't know MB had anything that got down that low. Carry on...

Well at least I got to drink 2 samples today!
Back to the original question - any advantage of leaving it in the keg a few more days at this point as opposed to bottling her up to start the carbing/conditioning countdown?

Well believe it or not, French Saison - which from everything I can tell is what that yeast is, just in dry form - can ferment BELOW 1.000 if you use enough sugar or your wort is highly fermentable, or it gets really happy.
I'd make sure it stays at 1.0 for 3 days just like any other gravity reading.

Thanks Mashani!
Now the next noob question of mine would be should I do hydro reading both tomorrow and Thursday or would it be ok to skip tomorrow and just do one reading on Thursday or Friday?

You can just skip a day. Unless you really want to drink another sample...

How did you blend up the puree? Did you add water?

A sanitized blender is all you need. No extra water. Poured very carefully into the LBK.coachmike937 wrote:How did you blend up the puree? Did you add water?
