Winebarrel Plus - Brew with a friend day.

Post by LouieMacGoo »

A homebrew store here in Livonia Michigan is having a Brew with a Friend Day July 18th with 50% off recipe ingredients. See details below.
Announcing the Next Brew with a Friend day.

As you know national home brew day is a big deal for the homebrewing community. Many of you brewed with your local clubs, brewed at home or just plan forgot or had to go to your child’s soccer game. We also had a “brew with a friend day” on June 13, 2015. At which we had three additional brewers show off their skills and methods. I learned a couple of new tricks (which is something after 25 years of brewing).

Here is your opportunity to have a re-do, or a do over, or just a good excuse to get out of the house and brew with friends. (Does one really need an excuse?)

So here it is, Saturday, July 18, 2015 (that is two weeks from last Saturday) starting at 11:00. “Brew With Friends Day”, an unofficial day for brewing.

Why is it unofficial? because we just made it up.
Why do we do it? because it is fun.
Last but not least, what is YOUR incentive? Half priced brewing!

Respond to this e-mail, or come in and sign up, and brew for half off. (This does not include 50 or 55 pound bags of grain as if we did put them on sale that way we would lose our shirts) but it does include all of the other ingredients.

We know that many of the homebrewing clubs were not at our shop on NHBD or for our first BWAFD, but here would be a chance for all of the local brewing clubs to come in and recruit for your organization, or get together with other clubs and exchange information for future collaborations.

I will be bringing my handy dandy, el-cheepo, brewing tower made out of a ladder, to show off and use for this event. It got great reviews and the first 10 gallon all grain batch of Hefeweisen turned out great. Also, if someone wants to do a brew-in-a-bag, give me notice and I will bring my tripod for hanging your grain bag.

So pack up your brewing equipment, show up and brew with us at Wine Barrel Plus for HALF-OFF. So if your deal is all grain brewing with a single tier system, brew-in-a-bag, a three tiered gravity system, extract and grain or even just open two cans and pour it in using a camp stove, all levels are welcome. Come in, show off your skills, possibly learn some new ones (I did at the last one), make a new friends, come on out and talk beer. Just get here and have fun even if you don’t brew with us. We will supply the water and who knows what will be sampled inside of the store. Brandon always comes up with something good for everybody to try out.

Even if you don't want to brew with us, we have a number of specials going on:
55 lb. bags of Avangard Pale and Pilsen only $39.99
50 lb. bags of Briess brewers 2-row and 6-row also $39.99 (while they last)
50 lb. bags of Rahr brewers 2-row $39.99

We have many other 50 lb. and 55 lb. bags at a great price. Plus many base malts in 10 lb. bags (just enough for a batch) at a reduced price.

Close out but on Coopers extracts, normally $18.99 to $19.99, only $14.99 a can!

We also have a number of hops on sale at $1.99 per ounce.

We also have some inexpensive kettle thermometers and all you would need to turn that ordinary pot into the super cool brewing kettle. We also have all of the cool weld less stainless steel connectors to make them work.
