Magnum Cascade Ale

Post by jpsherman »

Simple, tasty pale/amber ale.

1# Light LME
.25 Magnum @ 20 min
.5 Cascade @ 5 min

2.3 Light LME @ flameout

Nottingham yeast

This was one of the last beers I made before some drunk asshole drove into my house, so I never got to taste it young. But after 2 1/2 months of repair I am back in my house, and this is one of my better beers. I think this is a great recipe to break in a BMC drinker to craft beer.
Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain.
Quaintest thoughts — queerest fancies,
Come to life and fade away:
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today.

– Edgar Allan Poe
