Suwanee Beer Fest was today, table 13. Gotta love the Co-Brewers.
I'll post the score when I get it.

Congrats, Jeff!
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

If I remember correctly he has had it. I sent him a bottle of it along with some other beers. He honored Mya (aka Big Fuzzy) with a few sips and shared the rest with his friends. Think he said, for what it was it wasn't too bad. I'll take that as high praise that Big Fuzzy was liked by all.mashani wrote:It's so good even Keila would like it!
She was certainly loved by all who meet her.

Got my score sheets, 39 and 41 for a total of 40. Both judges said "more complexity/fruit notes would make it outstanding".
I have this posted in Advanced Recipes, going to ask for help and advise there.

Good scores, and good comments! When it gets to the point where the comments seem more subjective, you know you've really made a good beer.
It's one thing for the judge to say, for instance, "The hop notes don't fit the style." That means your recipe is wonky and probably needs revision. But when they say, "A little more of what you've already got, and it would be great," that means that particular judge would prefer more of that particular thing. Another judge may not necessarily feel the same way.
I got a similar comment on my Copperbottom Lager.
