I'm in central FL, in the greater Orlando area. Winter Park, to be more precise. Where are all the other Floridians?

Lol, funny. I work in Casselberry/Fern Park. We've probably crossed paths a bunch of times on the road. Have to take Semoran that way.

Yep, you're on here as jhough, J. I don't think this place would let you post if you were a guest.

You're not a guest. Are you a person? Well, a person is defined as a human being. So, whether you are a guest on the forum or a member of the forum (you can't post as a guest), you are a person. Unless, you're truly a Borg, in which case you're not human and therefore not a person.

I'm In Orlando, Near downtown. Which brings up a question. Anyone in Fl have issues controlling the ferment temp. I just started brewing with a Mr. Beer kit. Room temp is about 77 or 78 in summer. My first batch came out with a bit of a cider taste which probably came from too high of a ferment temp. Thinking of putting the fermenting keg in a cooler to control the temp better next time.

Cheers

Nice! I'm in Winter Park. As far as the fermentation temperatures, I bought a used mini fridge from someone on Craigslist and then built a temperature controller using the STC-1000 (Got the unit itself on amazon for 19 shipped). I'll see if I can find the information on how to put it together to use in conjunction with the fridge so you won't have to worry about fermentation temps at any time of year.

Edit: Here is the video for the DIY. If you decide to buy the unit and build the controller, make sure you buy the 110V version, and not the 220V version.
