The factory dude is hiding his beard yeast.

EDIT: But I will like that packaging much better. I am not a fan of the vials.

Hmmm, how they showed things getting cut up you would want something from the bottom rather than the top.

I guess they realized too many people were washing and using the old vials as the benchmark for the yeast count. I admit sometimes I buy White when I need another vial and cant convince the LHBS to let me scam one from the "we are trying to collect 5,000 vials so Chris White will come speak at our Homebrew Day event" drum.

Anyone bought/used the new yeast packs yet? My LHBS just got fresh yeast from WL last week and they are still coming in little bottles. They've not asked about it as I think they really don't care as long as they have yeast but I wonder why some places are still getting bottles. I saw a blurp in a forum with a post by someone from WL and they said all retailers will be getting them no later than mid October. Guess 30 days later isn't so far out of whack but I was hoping to check this out on my last visit.

I've never seen those things "in the wild". It's all in vials around here still.

mine only carries dry yeast
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

No White Labs products at my closest LHBS, haven't seen the new packaging at the next closest that does stock White Labs yeast, still in vials last time I was there.

I haven't bought new yeast in a while now so I'll have to see if it's at MoreBeer or my other LHBS. If it avoids the dreaded CO2 explosions when opening the vials sometimes I am all for them!

Stopped last nite at LHBS for some WLP004 which he had 4 PP packs 2 weeks ago, hasn't had it since he said it is back ordered from White Labs. They rolled out with WLP001,002 and 004 he said and haven't been able to keep up yet. He has a bunch of 001 and 002 in the fridge in the Pure Pitch packaging.
