Louisville and Atlanta Borg Members?

Post by Manowarfan1 »

Hi all - until whatever pops up to be the MUG of the Borg, just wanted to see if anyone is around these two areas. Next weekend I will be in Louisville, KY for SWMBO Ironman Triathlon. She and her friends can't really partake until after the race so I will be solo a lot. Also - first week in September I will be in Atlanta for ProgPowerUSA Metal Festival (music, beer, and now one of my brothers and nephews is there working on rasslin' career) probably Wed - Sunday.

Holler if you are in the area and maybe we can meet up for a bevvy :) :homebrew:
cheers
jeff

That would be awesome Jim. I think Inkleg is down that way as well, is he here yet? I think we end up close to the Arts Center MARTA stop each year, as the venue is Center Stage and Vinyl. Our old hotel (one stop up) was right next to Max Lager's. Still havent made it to Sweetwater for a tour but would like to if I can pull it off.

Getting in Wednesday this year instead of earlier (we used to do the whole week of the fest), probably skip wednesday night shows, hit thursday night and then all day friday and saturday :) Good thing about the location and the fest is that it allows time to pop out for food and better drink than available there :)

There is a little pizza place right next to Center Stage that I believe serves their own brew, have to remember what the name is.

Cheers
jeff

The Ironman goes right up and down my street (3rd St.) a couple times as a part of the run so I always sit out on my porch and have a homebrew watching all the people run by. Seeing as I am only 19  I can't go out and have a beer, but if you want to stop by and have a beer my Dad said you are more than welcome! I have a nice witbier kegged. And I have a ton of respect for all of the athletes that do this race, its an incredible feat!

That stops you? IN was 21 when I grew up, but I started buying in the stores when I was 14 and drinking my arse off. I did look old for my age way back then. Now, I just look/feel old.

I would go out and have a beer or two if I could but sadly I don't look 21, and yes they would card me in an instant! Heck I turn 20 next month.. Not too much longer to wait right  In the meantime I will continue making my own beer, and enjoying every second of it :clink: and drinking the craft beer that my dad brings home :muahaha:
