For me the easiest way to wash yeast is with the better bottle racking adapter. I add 1/2 gal sterilized water, wait 20-30 minutes, and I can move the spigot to transfer at exactly where the yeast is. I then use these test tubes that have measurement indicators, so I can see exactly how much yeast there is. The last time I did this, I easily got 35 ML of yeast in each tube.

Ah, if you're still boiling jars and lids you may want to consider just using StarSan, it's a lot faster and much much safer.
