Thanks for throwing me under the bus Louie:) I'm not saying I typed that, but if I did...it should have said less than $0.50 per beer!

I was hoping Rick's math was wrong cuz a $0.35 six pack sounded really really good!

Getting a little concerned about this first batch
Pitched yeast 24 hours ago and NOTHING
No airlock activity. so I look inside and it is just like I left it last night
NEVER had a batch sit 24 hours without ANY activity at all

It does happen. I'd give it a full 48 before getting overly concerned.

Two questions you always have to ask:
1) Did you forget to pitch the yeast?
2) Are you at the right temp?

4. did you aerate prior to pitching?
5. did you rehydrate the yeast and if so how? did you dump into boiling hot water? that would be bad.
6. what fermenter are you using? if a bucket with an airlock .. buckets are notorious for not sealing air tight. lack of airlock activity is not necessarily sign of nothing going on in this case.

ive had yeast go nuts within hours and some that didn't so much as fizzle for over 48 hrs.

'At this price they are either clearing out old stock, discontinuing these refills, or discontinuing that size can or offer (2 cans together).'

I received my shipment yesterday and the expirations dates were all Sept 2015. Could be one of the other reasons Rick stated though.

Are you using the BrewDemon fermenter? if so make sure the lid is on tightly. Give it a little extra turn. I've found that some times the lid seal isn't good and giving just a little extra twist gets it going. Also if you shine a flashlight on the side of the fermenter you should be able to see the yeast in action as the wort converted into beer.

There was a post on Facebook stating
We will be adding a full line of 6 gallon Black Rock malts to our website…look for them next month. Cheers!

So you might want to get these while you still can!

Yes, we are making room for new 6 gallon inventory. Also, this is a "Best Before" date and not expiration date...these malts are good for years after this date. However, if you have a malt 2 years past the "Best Before" date, I would seriously think about getting some new yeast.

I suspect it's no stacking... Already getting 50% off. The discount appears automatically, look at the full priced items and they are discounted.
