Greetings from Charlottesville, VA!!
I'm here in Charlottesville for my brother's wedding and I had some time to gawk at how amazing this place is. Made it out to the Whole Foods around the corner from my hotel and started collecting beer to haul back down to FL with me, while sampling local beer over the past couple days. I must say, craft beer here is fantastic! And the people are all so friendly!
These are some beers we don't get back home that I've been dying to try. There will be time tomorrow to check out more shops and increase the size of my haul, but this is a good start.

Cool! Since I started brewing, every trip has a beer component.

Grab all the Firestone you can get your hands on.........................and send it to me!!!!!
Enjoy the wedding. Hope that storm in the Atlantic doesn't affect you at all.

I sure did!! They had a couple Firestone beers in large format bottles and some singles in the cooler including the Union Jack that I got.BlackDuck wrote:Did you really find that Firestone in VA???? I didn't think they were available that far east.

So other than cats and a dog, your Homebrew is unguarded?

Yep! Although the keg of Homeberon kicked before we left and I've got maybe 3 or 4 bottles left of mixed homebrew. I do however have some grains, hops, and a smack pack in the fridge so if you wanna go ahead and brew my Etcitra while I'm gone, I would appreciate it!Inkleg wrote:Nice find Phil!

Re: Greetings from Charlottesville, VA!!
So I'm back home from VA and I think I did pretty well! Got some local VA beers and some beers not so local that are impossible to find in FL, particularly the Firestone and Troegs beers. I also got a chance to stop in Raleigh, NC at Natty Greene's brewpub for lunch and some brews. I loved their Buckshot Amber ale so much that I bought my very first growler filled with it!
