Thanks, man. I don’t care if it’s brown!

Is it really worth $85? That just seems like a lot of money for a thermometer.

If it does what it says, and lasts, it’ll be worth it to me for the speed, especially when cooking meat or making cheese, which depend on quick temperature assessment as well as “feel.". When I think of all the non-working or inaccurate temperature probes I’ve gone through in the past 5 years, I hope this will save me some frustration.

A lot of people get this also to make sure all their other gadgets are still good and calibrated. I have not heard of anyone who bought one complain.

I've had one for almost 2 years now. But, keep it clean. I didn't do such a good job and the sweet mash liquid made the probe sticky and I broke it trying to open it.
Themoworks was good about it. They did charge me $25 to send it back but they also shipped it back to me for free. Well, I'm sure that was part of the $25. Now I keep some star san close by and make sure I'm not as messy when using it. It's extremely accurate.

I feel mines been worth every penny. Use it while grilling too, steaks are coming out way better now as I'm able to pull them off at the correct temperature.
I keep a bucket of water or Star-San close by and rinse the probe every time I check mash or wort temps, so I don't get sticky probe syndrome like Paul.

SPS, Sticky Probe Syndrome? I like that. Nuff said about that subject or it'll go into a complete, wrong direction.
