Take a minute to introduce yourself to the Borg and tell us what's brewing. You can ask questions here too!

Hi there, new to the site. Got a BeewDemon kids for Christmas and have a pilsner fermenting in the vat. Have a couple of questions just off of the top of my head:

1) Is there any reason I couldn't use this same kit to brew hard cider as well? I noticed that separate kits are sold for these, but there didn't appear to be any significant difference.
2) Has anyone used their BrewDemon kit to brew beers that didn't come from BrewDemon? I imagine I'll want to try my hand at doing things from scratch at some point!

Thanks!

Welcome.

You can absolutely use the same fermenter to brew cider.

You can also use it to brew kits that come from other places. Many kits are 5 gallon kits, so you'd need to split them. You can also make your own recipes and brew them in the brew demon fermenter. I've never used the brew demon fermenter, but I started with Mr beer, which is another small batch fermenter (different systems, same concepts).

Hi JC, welcome aboard!
Yup, a fermenter is a fermenter. Just keep it clean.

Never mind, there it is.
