Hi All
I got a BrewDemon 2 Gallon kit for Christmas. I am finally getting around to get it going. The instructions seems pretty simply. Any tips or suggestions to help my first brew a success?
Thanks

Hi Prabs, welcome aboard!
I have a couple of suggestions, but the first is Be Patient. You could make beer in a week, but two weeks in the fermenter is a minimum, I usually wait three. Your beer will be clearer and taste better. The second is to try to find a spot in your house that won't be too warm for a good ferment, middle 60's would be nice.
Keep us posted.

Thanks John. I keep reading that the yeast very temp sensitive. Is the stick on thermometer accurate for brewing, or do I need buy one?

Stick on one is fine as long as the liquid line is above it.prabs wrote:Thanks John. I keep reading that the yeast very temp sensitive. Is the stick on thermometer accurate for brewing, or do I need buy one?

I agree with Mashani. While I have plenty of more sophisticated gear now, I still have stick on therm strips on my plastic bucket fermenters.prabs wrote:Thanks John. I keep reading that the yeast very temp sensitive. Is the stick on thermometer accurate for brewing, or do I need buy one?
