Vote For The October 2015 BeerBorg BOTM

Post by The_Professor »

Voting time!

Please note, Polls don't work in the Tapatalk app. But if people using Tapatalk know that it's a poll they they can tap on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner and choose "web view".

Everyone will have two votes in this poll due to the number of nominees. A nominee may choose to vote for themselves or not.

The poll will be open thru September 30th, so you do have some time to decide on your vote.

I apparently got Swenned :)

Now I have to think of who I'm going to vote for. Too many good choices. I won't vote for myself, I was BOTM once on the old forum (before Mr. Beer took over BOTM).

Same here, I just can't vote for myself but it's still tough to chose since everyone up there is a loser. :) But I'm listed first so I am the biggest loser.
I'm grateful and flattered to be nominated.

Okay I've been following along pretty good so far but you've stumped me on having two votes. Wouldn't I just be nullifying the first one?

Just a little ImageHere..

I voted and Like the idea of 2 votes, because sometimes it's such a hard choice, most of the time.
Now I want to know how the He11 I got on the ticket with no second. This ain't Chicago folks :). All deserving on that ballot (except me)....

It is a possible way to deal with larger numbers of nominations. I hate to restrict nominations by time or anything else.

You are right that having two votes dilutes your own vote as opposed to everyone having one. But it increases the total votes. There can also be the case of someone looking at the nominees and thinking that it's a really tough choice. In this case you don't have to go "eeny, meeny, miny, mo" but can just choose two. It also makes it a bit interesting in that a number of voters first choice could be split but their second choice the same.

As I mentioned here, the idea would be to increase the number of votes per number of nominees. So if there had only been five nominees this time there would have only been one vote for everyone.

There is both good and bad to the idea. Overall I don't think it is a terrible solution.

In this case I was concerned that people may not have been paying attention since the nomination was a quote in my announcement of the nominations or they may have thought I already seconded you.

I got Louie into a tie with me. It would not let me pick him twice to push him ahead.

Go Louie!

Man I am having sensory overload. I missed the being able to vote twice part and voted only once. Old habits die hard. I still like the vote once, but I am trying to let go of the old ways. Next month maybe I will have it a little more together here folks.

So if there are only 43 votes so far and some or most voted twice, then less than 25 people have voted? C'mon guys, this forum has over 475 members. I know that only 10-15% are active but surely there are many who have not voted yet. Tomorrow is the deadline.

Well I voted for my nominee.

And I only voted once because where I come from they throw you in jail for voting twice. :p

Well I voted twice.

Guilty as charged, I'm a one-voter too. I'll get the hang of this yet.
