Looks like there is a new 'extension' for the Brewzilla/Digiboil that people are asking if it will fit the M&B, too:

Re: Kolsch Malt
I was going to suggest MoreBeer because I've bought it from them in the past but I just checked and they don't even have it on their website any more.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Yesterday I kegged my Pliny The Elder clone. I plan on pulling a pint tomorrow night!

Re: Mash and Boil for 250.00
I see what you guys are saying. You're talking about post-boil and I was thinking pre-boil. In any case, it sounds like we've all found ways to make this equipment work for us. I still do love the simplicity of it. Although if it ever breaks, I have to say that I'm loving my equipment from Spike and...

Re: Mash and Boil for 250.00
I saw that, too. I do a poor job of pre-brew water volumes so I generally sparge until I hit the volume I want Maybe I'm weird, but if my mash/sparge and boil doesn't work out to the volume I'm going for, I'm totally OK with topping up during the boil if I am targeting a volume to fermenter and I b...

Re: Mash and Boil for 250.00
I saw that, too. I do a poor job of pre-brew water volumes so I generally sparge until I hit the volume I want (then toss the wet grains to the chickens). Seeing the interior volume markings is near impossible with the basket in place, so the new basket is tempting for that alone. And I see that the...

Re: Stirring
HerbMeowing summed it up perfectly. At this point, for a regular beer (not souring, not adding fruit, etc.) it's really considered a non-essential practice that comes with risk. After your yeast take up the initial oxygen in the fermenter, you want to limit oxygen exposure as much as possible until ...

Re: What are you brewing/bottling/kegging?
Forgot to post over the weekend that I brewed up a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale close - currenting fermenting. In about 2 weeks, I'm going to tackle a Pliny the Elder clone, just because. Finally got around to brewing this yesterday. It's chugging away this morning (started last night about 6 hours post-...

Re: Stirring
I'll add, opening the lid to stir will introduce oxygen into your (fermenting/fermented) beer which is undesirable. Don't use visible krausen (foam) or bubbles in an airlock as proof of fermentation occurring. If you have some trub settling at the bottom of your fermenter, you're in good shape. It's...

Re: Newbie Update
All good questions. I would just use the MB in conjunction with something else. I know a few brewers here who will agree on the point that it's VERY mild as a dry hop. So just toss it in with another one. That being said, if you just a want a 'little something different' for the Mexican Lager, maybe...
