Re: El Dorado
Hmmm....I have some EKG that I have used yet, or tried. Maybe I'll get some more El Dorado and combine the two in another brew.

Re: El Dorado
what was your recipe? I'm not sure if Wheat was the best choice for this hop. I think a different malt may lend a better flavor.BigPapaG wrote:Mine ended up very candy-like...

Bottled this one today. Sample was good, not sure how to discribe the flavor. Maybe be pear, some citrus ? I'll know better when conditioning is complete.BeerRust wrote:Used it with 3lbs of Wheat DME. 1/2 oz 10mins, 1/4 Ozs 5mins, 1/4 Ozs 0mins.

Re: Amacitra Saison
I used that yeast, pitch at 68* and ramped it up to 85* over 7 days. Made a really tasty Saison. Heat won't hurt that yeast, brings some nice flavors into play. I am at day 14 today. Not sure if it is going to help at this point. If it was Belgian Saison yeast and it was stuck, then it would. With ...

Re: Amacitra Saison
Its warm enough for Bella to make good beer. Just don't try to use Belgian Saison yeast at that temperature. Would you go warmer? I seem to be getting cooler temps in the basement, the weather has been very inconsistent and damp lately. It may have dropped to 60 several times. I threw a towel over ...

Re: Fresh Dandelion Sorachi Saison - Now with Brett C
Well... I bottled this at 1.007, which is a good bit lower then T-58 would do even with the sugar. It has been stable there for 4 days, although it is very much infected by Brett C. What you see above quickly turned into a brett pellicle, I know them when I see them, since I get 3 or 4 every summer...

Re: Blonde / Cream Ale Adventure
Interesting, well other than the Corona is a lager, I guess it could be. I was just knocking out a fast blonde ale. :) Just finished bottling Blonde Ale 5 Windors (I gotta get a name generator), came it right at what it was supposed to, 5% abv. can't wait to try the Windsor after it is carbed. The ...
