Re: "I've come to chew bubblegum and kick ass.......
When I heard the news I had the urge to re-watch "They Live"
Within a few hours my brother texted me that he had heard the news and we needed to watch it again.

Will we have a 2015 Fantasy Football League?
Just wondering, cause I am a little surprised a sign-up thread hasn't been started yet.
Obviously, I would be in if we have one this year.

Re: Sterling Saison
This was pretty damn good. Like I said this simple recipe lets the yeast shine. Not bitter or sweet, goes down easy.

Re: Rattlesnake Bootstrap
My first thought would be a dash of cayenne pepper. When I season food with it, it seems to add heat with little impact on the flavor. Perhaps use bootstrap molasses? Never used it, can't vouch for flavor. Or you could get your "bite" from making this imperial strength. Another avenue woul...

Re: Great Beer/drinking movies
Anyone else seeing this post come up weird? It isn't fitting in the screen like normal? Anyways, our go to movie was Rounders with Matt Damon. Such a great movie. Otherwise it is typically sports of some kind. Are you reading it on a mobile device? Anyways, Rounders is a great choice! Very underrat...

Over 400 members!
Just noticed we have 404 members now. As one of the early joiners it has neat to watch membership grow. Even though most members rarely if ever post, they often provide a LOT of traffic just lurking. So kudos to our active members, and those who just come here to learn from them.

Great Beer/drinking movies
Your friends are coming over with home brew, good craft beer, or a whole damn keg. What movie/s would you pick to watch or just have on in the background while you play poker or bullshit? Here are a couple of my less obvious picks: "Strange Brew" Rick Moranis, Dave Thomas, Canada, 80's, ne...

Re: Victory Day Franken(Dampf)Bier with Juniper and Kvass
So I'm drinking this. Officially in rotation. It's spicy/rye/dry with bananas and bubblegum like fruity esters, and hints of dried fruit. But actually more bubblegum then bananas. So now I know that munich makes bubblegum if you crank up the heat. Which is good to know. I can take advantage of that...

Re: What a disaster!
Also, don't start rebuilding until you consider what you might do next with the house. For example, if you were talking about an addition, now might be the time given that things are "opened up", no pun intended. We actually managed to upgrade the front window that got destroyed to a bay ...

Re: What a disaster!
I'm glad you're back home and can start having a more normal life. Good advice in this thread from people who know a thing or two, as well. D Rabbit especially, since he's in the biz. I hope you can completely recoup financially. Actually money is not an issue here. Our insurance pays for everythin...

Re: What a disaster!
After about 80 days I finally got moved back into my house. We had to have an engineer come up with a plan for our repairs. 45K+ is repairs! And I couldn't brew that whole damn time, cause I was in an apartment that restricted alcohol container size. I've posted a few recipes that I brewed before th...
